Baramulla: Two residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Kalantara Payen of Baramulla district on Friday morning. However, there is no information about any casualty in this incident.

The fire broke out in a residential house at Kalantara Kriri on Friday morning, officials said. The fire soon spread to a nearby building, however, prompt intervention by the F&ES department prevented the fire from spreading further. Some parts of two residential houses have been damaged in this fire incident.

Meanwhile, a fire department official said that a fire broke out at Kalantar Kreri this morning, where two residential houses, one storey and one two storey, were involved. The fire service soon reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after about three-and-a-half hours of fire-fighting operations, the official said. The official further said that no one was injured in the incident. Meanwhile, police and other officials have reached the spot and are investigating the damage caused by the fire. The police have registered a case and started investigation in this regard.
