Prayagraj: Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad has signed an MoU with Eco-C Pvt.
Triple IT PRO Dr. Pankaj Mishra said on Tuesday that it is a startup company started by Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, Gugloth Vijay Nayak, Ravi Shankar and Vishal to convert ordinary bicycles into electric bicycles.
The start-up company received an investment of Rs. 30 lakhs has been given. Eco-C Private Limited is driven by an unwavering commitment to develop efficient and cost-effective technologies for sustainable transport or urban mobility. Eco-C converts existing bicycles into electric cycles using the right equipment to suit people’s preferences and needs, thereby enhancing daily commuting.
The converted bicycle moves automatically by electronic movement. But it can also be used by humans like a normal bicycle. Its continuous use improves the mental and physical health of people. Because it gives a new experience of exercise. Electric bicycles manufactured by Eco-C are also environment friendly as they do not depend on harmful fuels (petrol, diesel, gas).
The company claims that all the equipment currently used in bicycles are fully compatible to be integrated with the upcoming technology. Eco-C Pvt Ltd with the help of received investment and Indian Institute of Information Technology is moving towards a new goal and will create more attractive and useful products in future which will come out through better research route. On this occasion, Prof. Mukul Sutwane, Director Triple IT, Dr. Satish Singh, Registrar, Prof. Madhvendra, Dr. Pramod Kumar and both students were present on the occasion.
