Bijnor: A tree fell in the district on Tuesday midnight during the storm. The young man caught in its embrace was crushed to death, while the wife was seriously injured. The police admitted the injured woman to the hospital.
A jamun tree fell on a motorcyclist couple near Chhajupura village on Noorpur Marg in Bijnor due to heavy thunderstorms. The husband was killed and the wife was injured after being buried under a tree. On receiving the information, the police took possession of the dead body and admitted the injured woman to the hospital.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Mumtaz, a resident of Bijnor city. He was returning home on Tuesday night after taking his wife Anisa from her maternal uncle’s house. This accident happened then. Police have sent the body for postmortem.
