Transforming the lives of the poor and farmers is the first priority of the central government: Narendra Singh Tomar

Bhopal, May 20 (Hindustan Times). Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said that the infrastructural development of agriculture in the country is being continuously worked on. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government is running various schemes to make farmers self-reliant by cultivating profit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly concerned about farmers, which is why he has launched many farmer-friendly measures and welfare schemes, which are beneficial to small farmers. Bringing change in the standard of living of the poor and farmers of the country is the first priority of the Central Government. Modi government is continuously working in this direction and its positive results are also coming forward.

Union Minister Tomar was addressing a national workshop organized at Balaghat on World Bee Day on Saturday. Honey Expo was launched on the occasion of World Bee Day. Minister of State for AYUSH and Water Resources Ramkishore ‘Nano’ Kavre, Madhya Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Commission Chairman Gauri Shankar Bisen, former minister and Chhattisgarh MLA Brijmohan Aggarwal and public representatives and officials were present in the programme.

Union Agriculture Minister Tomar said at the national workshop that central and state governments are continuously working together to make farmers self-reliant. 10,000 FPOs are being formed to make farmers self-reliant so that they can be made more profitable through grading, processing and packaging of their produce. The central government is spending 6 thousand 865 crore rupees on FPO. He congratulated Balaghat for organizing the National Workshop on World Bee Day.

He praised Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the program. Chauhan was said to have been born in an ordinary village. Lived the life of a poor family. Those who have seen poverty up close. That is why he is aware of the suffering of the village, the poor and the farmer. This is the reason why he knows the pains of the farmers and he is running the schemes which will benefit the farmers. He is so sensitive that he cannot sleep all night thinking what will happen to the farmer if hail falls on his crops. Such chief ministers are rarely seen.

He said that MP government is farmer friendly. The Chief Minister knows the pain of farmers and the state agriculture minister is a farmer, which is reflected in the policy made in the interest of farmers. In a state where the agriculture minister is a farmer, he is bound to provide benefits to the farmers. He said that earlier Madhya Pradesh was not counted in agriculture, only Haryana and Punjab were mentioned, but the work done by the BJP government in 15 years for agriculture and farmers is the result that today Madhya Pradesh is the leader in agriculture in the whole country. The name is prominent.

Government is ready for economic empowerment of farmers: Agriculture Minister Patel

Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said that the government is working diligently for economic empowerment of farmers. Summer mug, urad and mustard are being registered by the government for purchase at support prices. Which will directly benefit the farmers. The work is being done by fixing the target of increasing the irrigation capacity from 45 lakh hectares to 65 lakh hectares in the state. The premium amount of farmers’ crop insurance is paid by the government.

Inauguration of building in Agriculture College

Union Minister Tomar, Agriculture Minister Patel and other guests inaugurated the building, hostel and auditorium hall constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore at Raja Bhoj Agriculture College in Balaghat.

Organized bull run

A bull jockey race was organized at Raja Bhoj Agriculture College. In which more than 170 bull pairs of the country participated. The first prize winner of the competition was awarded a 47 horse power tractor, the second prize winner 42 horse power and the third prize winner a 32 horse power tractor. Apart from this, 22 winners were given motorcycles.
