According to media reports, around 5:45 PM in the evening, approximately 7 kilometers before Kyari, a military vehicle slipped off the road and plummeted into a valley. If sources are to be believed, the army vehicle was en route from Karu Garrison to Leh when the unfortunate incident occurred. Among the 9 soldiers who lost their lives, there were 2 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and 7 enlisted personnel.
