Tragic accident in Jammu, 7 killed as bus going to Vaishnodevi falls into valley

A horrific bus accident took place in Jammu in which 7 people died on the spot. The incident is from Jhajjar Kotli area where a bus full of passengers was going from Amritsar to Katra when the bus lost control and fell into a ditch. The atmosphere was filled with the screams of the passengers as the uncontrollable bus fell into the ditch. In this accident, 7 people died on the spot and many people were injured.

 

 

There was commotion at the scene after the incident. The police immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations with local people and all the injured were sent to a private hospital. So far 7 people have been confirmed dead in this incident. Police sources said around 70-75 people were traveling in the bus, some of whom died on the spot. While, some were taken to hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

 

Four seriously injured passengers have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital. Apart from this, 12 other injured have been sent to local PHC where they are undergoing treatment.

 

 

Passengers of Vaishnodevi were also on board the bus.

 

 

According to police sources, the bus accident took place in Jajjar Kotli area, about 30 km from Jammu. Passengers of Vaishno Devi were also present in the bus. The accident took place on Tuesday (May 30) morning, after which people and policemen jointly carried out rescue operations. A local person said that the situation turned pathetic after the bus fell into the ditch. People on the bus were trying to get someone out. The incident was reported to the police, after which relief work was carried out.
