PM Modi is in Japan to participate in the G-7 summit. He also took time out of his busy schedule of the above meetings to meet a Japanese doctor separately in Hiroshima today.

Tomio Mizokami is a writer and is fluent in Hindi as well as Punjabi. He has contributed a lot in promoting Indian culture in Japan and deepening India-Japan relations. He was born in Kobe, Japan. Where a large number of Indian community people lived at that time. Tomio Mizokami was also impressed by listening to his Hindi and he started learning Hindi. He is also a fan of India’s first PM Jawaharlal Nehru.

 

 

Tomio Mizokami requested PM Modi to organize World Hindi Conference in Japan. He also said that, when I was a child, Nehru had a lot of influence internationally. Nehru was an inspiration to youngsters like us. Because Nehru was an advocate of peace and stability.

Tomio Mizokami was awarded the Padma Shri award by the Government of India in 2018 for promoting Hindi language and Indian culture in Japan. Earlier, the UP government honored him with the Hindi Ratna Award in 2001.

Tomio Mizokami spent many years in India. 81 year old Prayagraj stayed for three years from 1965 to 1968 to read written Hindi. After that he also studied Punjabi and Bengali language.
