A tragic incident took place in Bareilly, UP on Wednesday evening. 3 women died in an explosion in an illegal firecracker factory and 5 people were injured after being buried under the rubble. 2 children are also missing after this accident and a rescue operation is being conducted to find them. There were explosions one after another in the firecracker factory which continued for about two hours. The entire village was shaken by the explosions, there was screaming all around.

It is being told that an illegal firecracker manufacturing business was going on in Rehman Shah’s house in Kalyanpur village of Sirauli police station area. Yesterday, a blast occurred while making firecrackers. The explosion was so strong that many nearby houses also got caught in it. In this incident, 5 houses collapsed, and 3 have developed cracks. Police and rescue team reached the spot after getting the news of the incident. SDRF and NDRF teams were also reached. Five people buried under the debris were rescued but two missing children are being searched for.

One inspector on line duty, 4 policemen including two sub-inspectors suspended

The echo of the blast in Bareilly was heard till Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath immediately came into action and gave instructions to speed up the relief and rescue work. Meanwhile, the local police station which failed to stop this illegal firecracker factory has been punished. An inspector has been suspended while 4 policemen including two sub-inspectors have been suspended.

Inspector General of Police (Bareilly Range) Rakesh Singh said, “Three people were killed and several others injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory in the Sirauli area of ​​Bareilly district.” He said that 7-8 buildings nearby were also damaged in the explosion and the factory operator has been identified as Nasir. He said that he was reported to have a license and the license details are being investigated.

There were orders for Diwali, work was going on day and night

Villagers said that Nasir Khan had been running a firecracker factory for a long time and he had a license. He had big orders for Diwali, so he was working day and night. Villagers said that many workers were working here but there were no special arrangements like security and work was going on on a pile of gunpowder.

In the accident, Rehman Shah, son of Jogli Shah, resident of Kalyanpur, police station Sirauli, Bareilly, Chhoti, wife of Rehman Shah, resident of Kalyanpur, police station Sirauli, Bareilly, Fatima, wife of Nazim, resident of Kalyanpur, police station Sirauli, Bareilly, Sitara, wife of Nasir, resident of Kalyanpur, police station Sirauli, Bareilly were injured.

What did the SSP say?

Bareilly Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya said the incident took place around 4 pm. “According to preliminary investigation, it has been found that Nasir had a license from some other place and the house where the blast took place belongs to his in-laws,” he said. Arya ruled out the possibility of the presence of any other explosive material for the blast and said, “We have recovered burst firecrackers from the spot. Prima facie, it seems that the blast was caused by them.” The officer said the investigation into the case is underway and appropriate action will be taken against those found involved in the case.
