The national boys team was represented by Santosh Shore and Santhaya Potai and Jayanthi Kachalam represented the national girls team in the championship. These three players are residents of Abujahamd area of ​​Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.

It is worth mentioning that more than 200 players from India, Japan, USA, South Africa, Brazil, Bahrain etc. participated in the World Mallakhambha Championship. Hailing from the Abujahamd and vulnerable areas of Chhattisgarh, these players have made a name for themselves at the international level. Santosh Shourie started practicing Mallakhambah from Class V (year 2017) at Porta Cabin School, Devgaon, Narayanpur. He won his first gold medal at the 2020 Bilaspur Invitational National Championship.
