Thousands of competitive students have started protesting at the gate of the commission demanding one day and one paper for the PCS Pre 2024 and RO / ARO Preliminary Exam 2023 being conducted by the Civil UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC).

Thousands of competitive students are continuously raising slogans at the gate of the Public Service Commission with poster banners in their hands. The competitive students are demanding that the PCS Pre 2024 and RO and ARO Pre 2023 examinations be conducted in one shift a day. They are also opposing the process of normalization.
Gandhian protest had started 2 days ago.
A few days ago, the Public Service Commission issued a notification for the exam and decided to conduct the PCS Pre and RO/ARO exams in 42 districts in two shifts for two days. Competitive students have been protesting against this since the beginning. Competitive students had announced a peaceful protest in Gandhian style at the Public Service Commission two days ago.
Exams should be conducted on the same day and in the same shift
During the protest, the competitive students said that their protest was indefinite. Their protest will continue till they get an assurance from the commission that the exam will be conducted on one day and in one shift. The students protesting at the Public Service Commission are also demanding the commission to withdraw the decision of normalization.
Police put up barricades, force also deployed
On the other hand, in view of the protest by the competitive students, a large number of police forces have been deployed. The police force has been deployed by erecting barricades all around the commission. Along with this, Vajra vehicle, fire brigade, and RAF have also been deployed. The protesting students are continuously becoming violent.
Traffic was affected by to protest.
Clashes are visible between the police and the protesting students. ADCP City Abhishek Bharti, who was present on the spot, has appealed to the students. People should go to the designated place for the dharna site and protest and submit their memorandum. During this time, traffic has also been affected due to the protest of the students.
The exam is to be held on these dates in December
The PSC Pre 2024 exam is proposed on the 7th and 8th of December. While RO / ARO Preliminary 2023 exam will be conducted on the 22nd and 23rd of December. Due to the announcement of protest by competitive students, the police and administration have been put on alert mode. So that any untoward incidents can be prevented after the students become violent.
