Another top executive from Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has resigned. Manish Chopra, director and head of partnerships at Meta, has resigned. Manish was associated with META for the last four and a half years. With this, he is the fourth senior official to resign from Meta India in the last one year.
four resignations in a year
Earlier, Ajit Mohan, head of Meta India and Rajeev Agarwal, head of public policy, left the company. Both had decided to part ways from the company in November last year. WhatsApp India chief Abhijit Bose also resigned from his post last year.
Following their separation from Meta, Ajit Mohan and Rajiv Agarwal joined Snap and Samsung, respectively. Bose informed about working on a new startup venture. Manish Chopra also served as the head of Meta India for two months following the resignation of Ajit Mohan.

However, two months later Sandhya Devanathan was made the head of Meta India. Chopra shared the details of his resignation on LinkedIn. He said he would fully assist with the transition process over the next several weeks. It is known that before joining Meta India, Manish Chopra was the CEO and co-founder of an app.
Paytm acquired his company in the year 2017. Apart from this, Chopra has been the co-founder of online clothing brand Zovi. He has worked in Microsoft for 9 years. He was associated with Meta India in the year 2019. Chopra’s resignation comes at a time when the company is going through layoffs. The company is continuously laying off people in the name of cost cutting. So far 21 thousand people have been evacuated from Meta.
