Ahmedabad : A case has been filed in Gandhinagar Commercial Court against Gujarat Tritons, the team representing Gujarat in IPL. The suit filed by M/s Code Music Performance Limited complained that two Gujarati songs played during a match were being played despite not being copyrighted. The matter was heard. In which Gujarat Titans and DNA Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd assured that these songs will not be played in the upcoming match.

Gandhinagar Commercial Court has claimed that the songs played by the team violated the Copyright Act. The case has been filed by M/s Code Music Performance Limited.

At that time notices were issued to Gujarat Titans, DNA Entertainment, DJ Akkis, Spin Gurus, BCCI, Gujarat Cricket Association. Then the company finally assured that both these Gujarati songs will not be played during the Gujarat Titans match. This assurance has been taken on record.
