These films were the talk of the town at IIFA… know which film won which award

While there were moments of happiness for many films and actors at the IIFA Awards, there were also times of disappointment for many. Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, won three awards. The film won three technical awards at IIFA Rock Night. The film won awards for cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, screenplay by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Utkarshini Vashisht, and dialogue by Utkarshini Vashisht and Prakash Kapadia. The three-day 23rd edition of IIFA began on Friday night at the island of Abu Dhabi.

 

In this category, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ won the award

On the other hand, after ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Karthik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ directed by Anees Bazmee was also successful. Bhool Bhulaiya-2 won the Mandar Kulkarni Award for Best Sound Design in the Title Track and the Bosco Caesar Award for Choreography.

 

Ajay Devgan’s film also won an award

While editing Ajay Devgan’s crime thriller Drishyam 2, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s action adventure Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva also won the award. Along with this, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Vikram Vedha’ and Rajkumar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte starrer ‘Monica O My Darling’ also got the award.

These celebs made a splash in the show

During the program, performances by Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhbir Singh, Palak Muchhal and Iulia Vantur along with choreographer and director Farah Khan and Rajkumar Rao added to the charm of the show.

 

Rajkumar made the audience laugh a lot

The music program at the award show started with a dance performance by Palak Muchhal. After this, Farah Khan also presented her dance on the platform. Along with this, Rajkumar Rao took the stage by playing the song ‘Main Hoon Naa’. The duo also recreated a scene from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Meanwhile, the funny chemistry between the two had mesmerized the audience. Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh and Nora Fatehi also gave a strong performance in the award show. Along with this, Sunidhi Chauhan’s melodious voice and Badshah’s powerful rap were also heard.
