The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has started replacing 2000 rupee notes from 23 May. RBI has said that these notes will be changed from 23 May to 30 September. Its limit has been fixed by the central bank at Rs 20,000 or a maximum of 10 notes. That is, a person can change a maximum of 20 thousand or 10 notes in a day.
After the guidelines of RBI, big banks like SBI and PNB have also announced guidelines in this regard. Know these ways to exchange 2000 notes and deposit them in major banks of the country.
state Bank of India
The country’s largest bank SBI has said that any person can exchange notes up to Rs 20,000 without filling any form or slip. There will be no need to show any ID for this.
HDFC bank
According to the notice issued by HDFC Bank, till September 30, any person can deposit 2000 rupee notes in any number. At the same time, notes up to Rs 20,000 can be exchanged at a time.
ICICI Bank
ICICI Bank has said that customers can visit any bank branch or cash deposit machine to deposit Rs. 2000 notes can be deposited. No charge will be taken from the bank for changing the 2000 rupee note.
Punjab National Bank
Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of the largest public sector banks in the country, has said that Rs 2,000 notes can be exchanged up to Rs 20,000 without asking for any ID proof and without filling any form in the bank.
