London : If you have a B.Ed degree and are a maths or science teacher then Britain is waiting for you. There is currently a severe shortage of maths and science teachers in British schools. The British government has said that to meet this shortage, the government will appoint qualified teachers from some other African countries including India. The special thing is that the British government is paying more teachers than professors. Depending on the qualification and experience of the teachers, salaries ranging from £10,000 to £27,000 per annum are being offered. Presently 10 thousand pounds is equal to 10.19 lakh rupees in Indian currency.
According to a report in London’s newspaper ‘The Times’, the government has said that this year hundreds of maths, science and language teachers will be brought to Britain from countries such as India and Nigeria. Apart from this, the government has plans to expand the recruitment schemes in various disciplines to other countries as well.
