Prayagraj, May 22 (Hindustan). The UP government has approached the Allahabad High Court with a demand to transfer the trial of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari in the District Court of Gazipur under the Arms Act to the District Court of Varanasi.

The UP government says that the trial of the case registered under the Arms Act is going on in the Varanasi District Court. Both the cases should be heard simultaneously by transferring the case from Ghazipur. Because, both cases are same. In this regard, the court has sent a notice to Mukhtar Ansari and sought his reply. Now this matter will be heard on July 20.

This order was given by Justice Rajeev Mishra on a petition filed by the UP government. In 1990, an FIR was filed against Baahubali Mukhtar Ansari in Mohammadabad, Varanasi and Ghazipur for obtaining the same license arms on the basis of forged documents.

The first hearing on the FIR registered in Varanasi has started by the Varanasi District Court. It has now started in Ghazipur. The government wants both cases to be the same. So the Ghazipur case should also be transferred to Varanasi. During the hearing on Monday, time was sought on behalf of Mukhtar Ansari to file a reply with the court. The court has given them time till July 20.
