The stock market continues to rise with the support of buying

New Delhi : The domestic stock market started with gains today amid mixed global cues. The market opened at a flat level today. But due to the support of buying in a short time, the movement of both the Sensex and Nifty indices gained momentum. After the end of the first 1 hour of trading, the Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.26 percent and the Nifty was trading with a gain of 0.32 percent.

JSW Steel, ONGC, UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries and Kotak Mahindra were trading with a strength of 1.82 per cent to 0.91 per cent after the initial one-hour trading. On the other hand, shares of Divi’s Laboratories, Adani Ports, SBI Life Insurance, ITC and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were trading with losses ranging from 1.16 per cent to 0.78 per cent.

In the business so far, there were active trading in 1,911 shares in the stock market. Out of these, 1,199 stocks were trading in the green mark by earning profit, while 712 stocks were trading in the red mark by taking losses. Similarly, out of 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 22 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 8 stocks were trading in red mark under selling pressure. While out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 31 stocks were seen trading in green mark and 19 stocks in red mark.

The BSE Sensex today opened at a level of 62,839.85 points with a weakness of 6.53 points. As soon as the trading started, the buyers created a buying force, due to which the index started galloping upwards. Within a short span of time, the index crossed the 63,000 mark. However, there was minor profit booking after this. The Sensex was trading at a level of 63,010.12 points with a gain of 163.74 points at 10:15 am after the initial 1-hour trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market.

Unlike the Sensex, the NSE Nifty started today’s trade with a gain of 8 points at 18,606.65 points. This index also made a sharp jump as soon as the market opened, buyers started buying actively and crossed the level of 18,650 points in a short time. However, there was also minor profit booking in between. Despite this, the movement of this index remained fast. Nifty was trading at 18,657.60 points with a gain of 58.95 points at 10:15 am after the first 1-hour trading between continuous buying and selling in the market.

In the pre-opening session today, amid mixed global cues, the domestic stock market also started mixed business. In this session, the BSE Sensex was down 40.36 points, or 0.06 percent, at the level of 62,806.02 points. At the same time, the Nifty had reached the level of 18,633.80 points with a gain of 35.15 points, or 0.19 percent, in the pre-opening session.

Prior to this, on Monday, the Sensex gained 344.69 points, or 0.55 percent, to close at 62,846.38 on the previous trading day. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Monday’s trading at 18,598.65 points, up 99.30 points, or 0.54 percent.
