Kolkata: Calcutta High Court judge Justice Abhijit Ganguly ordered the cancellation of the jobs of 36,000 primary teachers. He said that all these people are untrained, so their jobs will be cancelled. But on Tuesday, he amended his order. He has said that the number of untrained people is not 36 thousand but closer to 32 thousand, so the jobs of the rest will remain intact. He said that because of a typographical mistake, the order was issued to cancel the jobs of 36 thousand people. The number of jobless people will be close to 32 thousand. Apart from this he made one more amendment. The lowest number written in the placement panel was 14.191 which is 13.796.
It may be mentioned that last Friday, Justice Ganguly had ordered the removal of 36,000 untrained people appointed as primary teachers. Against which the state government has gone to the bench. Earlier, petitioners’ counsel Tarun Jyoti Tiwari drew the attention of Justice Ganguly and claimed that 36 thousand instead of 32 thousand were printed in the order due to a typographical error.
