After the release of the first look of Karan Johar’s upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, his film company Dharma Productions is in the limelight once again. The laborers working in Dharma Production’s film ‘Selfie’ have not been paid yet. The film workers have appealed to the Film Studio Setting and the Allied Labor Union to help them get their money.

Union warned not to work with Ahmed Khan

According to the statement of the union, about 13.50 lakh rupees have not been paid to the laborers working in Dharma Production’s film ‘Selfie’. The set production contract for the film was with Paper Doll Entertainment. According to reports, on July 14, 2021, the Labor Commissioner’s Office issued a written notice to all filmmakers that the labor will be paid directly by the filmmakers, but still all producers are getting their work done through contractors. In this statement, the union has also warned against working with Paper Doll Entertainment and producer Ahmed Khan. The dispute between the laborers and the film’s art director regarding these dues got heated, after which the matter reached the police station.

The workers appealed to Sunny Deol for help

The same has happened with Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Sunny Deol starrer Baap and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Om. The setting laborers working in these films have not been paid yet. The workers also appealed to BJP leader and MP Sunny Deol for help in this regard, but to no avail.
