New Delhi: The Aston Martin DB12 Luxury has finally been launched in the UK. The company claims that it is the world’s first super tourer car. The announcement of the DB12 comes at a time when Aston Martin is celebrating two important milestones in 2023. The first marks the 110th anniversary of Aston Martin, while the second car celebrates 75 years of the iconic DB model line. In terms of performance, this vehicle is quite strong, as its top speed is 202 kmph.

Talking about the price, its ex-showroom price in the Indian market has been kept at Rs 4.8 crore. Its bookings will start in early June and deliveries are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The new Aston Martin DB12 produces a class-leading 680PS of max power and 800NM of peak torque. This high performance car is equipped with V8 twin-turbo powertrain. It gets an all-new suspension system with the latest adaptive dampers, controls and linkages, Direct Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system and an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff).
How is this car in terms of speed?
This supercar reaches the speed of 100 in no time. The company claims that this luxury car can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is 202 kmph. The engine is claimed to make 680PS/671bhp at 6000rpm and 800Nm/590lb ft between 2750-6000rpm. It is 34% more powerful than the old DB11.
The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission on the Martin DB12 and, for the first time on an Aston Martin DB model, an electronic rear differential (e-diff). This differential is linked to the car’s Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system. Quite different from a conventional limited slip differential. It can go from fully open to 100% closed in a matter of milliseconds.
