The CBI raided the house of former aide of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik

The CBI team is raiding 9 different locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. Officials said the raids are being conducted in connection with an alleged insurance scam. Among the places that are being raided is the house of a former officer of former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik.

The CBI team started the raid this morning, the official said. The houses of former governor Satyapal Malik’s associates and others are being raided. Malik was questioned on April 28, now the CBI is raiding the case.

The CBI team is also raiding Sunak Bali’s house. Sunak Bali was the press secretary of the former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik. The CBI team has also raided him in the insurance scam. Let us tell you that on April 28, the CBI team questioned Satyapal Malik at his house.

Regarding the CBI raid, Satyapal Malik said that it is unfortunate that the CBI team is harassing the complainant. He was my press secretary, he didn’t even take salary from the government.

Satyapal Malik has been the Governor of Jammu Kashmir, Bihar, Goa, Meghalaya. Earlier, the CBI team had recorded a statement in this case in October last year as well.

 

Satyapal Malik had alleged that when he was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, he was offered a bribe to clear the files. Satyapal Malik was sent as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in 2018. On 5 August 2019, the government abolished Article 370.

In March 2022, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that the allegations made by Satyapal Malik were serious, so the administration decided to hand over the matter to the CBI. After this the CBI team registered two FIRs. Since then CBI is investigating the matter and today it is conducting raids at many places.
