Investigation agency CBI has raided the house of former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal. This operation of the raid has been done in the Jammu-Kashmir insurance scheme scam. According to the information, CBI is raiding a total of 8 places. Among the people whose houses were raided was Satya Pal Malik, Media Adviser to the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. CBI raids are ongoing in Delhi, Jammu-Kashmir and Rajasthan.

CBI raids under insurance scam
Let us tell you that on April 28, CBI interrogated Satyapal Malik for a long time in the insurance scam. The interrogation took place at Satyapal Malik’s house. Earlier, the CBI had first recorded his statement in the case in October last year, when he retired as governor of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa and Meghalaya. Satyapal Malik had alleged that when he was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, he was offered a bribe to clear two files.

It is worth mentioning that, in 2018, the central government sent Satyapal Malik as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. During the tenure of Satyapal Malik, the central government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019. Meanwhile, the role of Satyapal Malik was also important. Satyapal Malik was then transferred as the Governor of Meghalaya.

150 crore rupees will be given to Satyapal to pass the file
Malik said that two files had come to him for approval. One of these files belonged to Anil Ambani’s insurance company and the other belonged to an RSS-affiliated person. Malik said these people were ministers in the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP-BJP coalition government and claimed to be very close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former governor Malik said that the secretaries of both the departments told me that it was a scam and so I canceled both the deals. The then Governor Malik also said that the secretaries told him that you will get Rs 150 crore for passing each file.

In March 2022, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the allegations leveled by Satyapal Malik were very serious and the administration had decided to hand over the case to the CBI. After this CBI registered 2 FIRs in this matter.
