It will now be known as ‘Veer Savarkar Setu’. The 140th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar was celebrated on May 28, Sunday. Currently, only 7 percent of this Sea Link has been constructed, while its construction has been going on since 2018. Shinde also said that a ‘Swatantryveer Savarkar Valor Award’ would also be given on the lines of the central government’s Valor Award.
