The aim of the state government is to prepare the youth for future challenges: Dr. Shandil

Solan, 23 May (his). Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment and Labor and Employment Dr. Colonel Dhaniram Shandil said that the state government is going to start such courses through industrial training institutes which will equip the youth with the necessary skills to face future challenges.

Dr. Shandil was addressing the students and others present after inaugurating the 31st State Level Men’s Cultural and Sports Competition at Industrial Training Institute, Solan on Tuesday.

359 students from all 12 districts of the state are participating in this three-day competition.

Dr. Shandil said that in the age of artificial intelligence, better employment can be provided to the youth only by qualitative improvement in technical education curriculum. He said that to fulfill this objective, the state government will start drone service technician courses in 11 industrial training institutes of the state from this year. Along with this, the courses of electric vehicle mechanic, maintenance mechanic, solar energy technician etc. will be started in 13 industrial training institutes of the state. He said that all these courses would prove helpful in providing better employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth.
