Tesla Right-Hand Drive Cars: America’s electric car manufacturing company Tesla has been trying to enter the Indian car market for a long time. This effort of the company now seems to be bearing fruit. Tesla makes left-hand drive cars for many other markets including America. But, now Tesla has started production of right-hand drive cars in its German plant and right-hand drive cars are available in India.
According to news agency Reuters, three people familiar with Tesla’s planning, on condition of anonymity, said that the company has started production of right-hand drive cars at its plant in Germany, which will be launched in India from the end of this year. Will be exported in. It is moving forward to enter the world’s third largest car market i.e. India.
One person said, “Manufacturing of the right-hand drive cars that will be allotted to India has started.” At present, it is not clear which model Tesla is planning to export to India. But, it currently produces only Model Y at its factory near Berlin.
Under the new Indian policy, companies can import up to 8,000 cars per year at a lower tax rate. The production of right-hand drive (RHD) cars in Berlin is the first indication of plans for shipment to India. Whereas, till now Tesla’s Shanghai plant has been making RHD (RHD) cars for right-hand-drive markets like Australia and Japan.
