Tata Sons to get record dividend of Rs 33,350 crore

Tata Sons for 2022-23, on the back of higher dividend payout from Tata group companies in Rs. 33,350 crore will get record dividend. Which in 2021-22 Rs. 14,529 crore showing an increase of 130 per cent. Tata Sons’ dividend hike is mainly due to around 80 per cent dividend payout from TCS through three quarterly interim dividends before the end of 2022-23.

In comparison, other group companies Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Titan, Tata Consumer and Tata Power pay dividends at the end of the year. Tata Sons in 2022-23 from TCS Rs. A dividend of Rs 30,418 crore is expected. Which in 2021-22 Rs. 11,374 crores. Which will make Tata Sons the seventh largest profit making company in the country after ICICI Bank in 2022-23. During the financial year ended ICICI Bank Rs. 34,026 crore profit was reported. Dividend income for Tata Sons is considered as its net profit. Apart from dividends, it also earns interest from treasury operations. Also receives brand fees from group companies. and receive profit from the sale of the investment. TCS’ dividends and buybacks have contributed an average of 96 per cent to Tata Sons’ revenue over the past five years.
