A 1.5-year-old girl was bitten by a snake in Aleri village of Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The girl’s parents and other relatives took her to a government hospital, but they were delayed due to bad roads in the area. The girl died on the way, when she reached the hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead.

18-month-old Dhanushka’s parents have been identified as Vijay and Priya. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the parents and sent home in an ambulance, but the ambulance driver refused to proceed due to the bad road and dumped it about 10 km back from the village. Because of this, the relatives were forced to take the dead body home on foot.

Let us tell that earlier in February, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Stalin wrote to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding the poor condition of the Chennai-Ranipet road. CM Stalin claimed that the road condition was so bad that he had to travel by train to Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruputra and Tiruvannamalai districts.
