Shimla: The in-charge of Kasumpati Chowki and a constable were suspended on Sunday in connection with the suspicious death of Abhishek, a 17-year-old minor who went missing from capital Shimla. On Saturday, Abhishek’s body was found hanging from a tree a short distance from the police station. In protest against the incident, people including relatives of the deceased staged a protest by keeping the body outside the SP office late at night and raised slogans against the police. The family alleges that their son’s murder was planned and the police are not taking the matter seriously.

According to family members, Abhishek has been murdered. The deceased minor’s grandfather said that no action has been taken against those suspected of murder. On the other hand, seeing the commotion, SP Shimla Sanjiv Gandhi also reached the spot and calmed down the family members by explaining them.

However, SP Shimla constituted an SIT to probe the entire matter. An inquiry report has been sought in this matter within a week. The entire matter will be investigated by SP Shimla himself, while ASP Sunil Negi will investigate the matter. Cyber ​​cell officials will also be involved in this investigation. Mobile records and complete location data of the deceased will also be taken. Along with this, the police is also waiting for the post-mortem report. However, preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that the youth committed suicide.

The body of the youth, who had been missing from the city for the last 28 days, was found hanging from a tree a short distance from Kasumpti police station. The family has called it murder. Relatives say that the youth was killed and hanged. Abhishek U.V., a resident of Bali Koti, Tehsil Shillai, Sirmaur District. Veer Singh was missing since April 29 last. The youth lived in Shimla and suddenly disappeared under suspicious circumstances. The police also registered a missing complaint and started searching for him. According to the police, the youth was last seen on April 29 at 9.30 am near Rani Ground, Kasumpti. After that no one saw the young man. In such a situation, the family alleges that he was killed and hanged from a tree.
