According to information, 22-year-old Parineeta Priya, a resident of Katargam, Surat, works as a receptionist in a hospital. They got married last February. In 2018, when she was working in a private company in Bhatar, she met government NIRR project leader Hiren Mehta. They used to talk on mobile regularly. Hiren proposes love to Priya through a WhatsApp message. Hiren then recorded a video of Priya changing her clothes on his mobile phone. Through videos, he repeatedly blackmailed married woman Priya and demanded to send more obscene photos and videos. Parineeta broke up with Hiren. Hiren used to send old indecent videos to the married woman even after marriage and demanded to send another video, not only threatened to make the video viral and also made obscene demands. Finally the wife talked about the whole matter with her husband and reached the police station. In this matter, the Katargam police have registered a case of extortion against Hiren Devendra Mehta and are taking further action. The police have also started an investigation based on technical surveillance.
