The Supreme Court has granted bail to former Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain for 6 weeks. He has been granted interim relief till July 11 by the court. He will appear in court again on June 10. During the hearing, the court said that Jain should be released keeping in mind his health. During this time he will not go outside Delhi.

The Supreme Court said that we allow Satyendra Jain to be treated in a private hospital. Jain will not impress any witness. He will not go out of Delhi without the permission of the court. Documents of whatever treatment has been done during bail should be produced before the court.

Earlier on May 18, the Supreme Court had issued a notice to the ED and sought its reply. Jain has been in custody since May 31, 2022. After his bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on April 6, he appealed to the Supreme Court.

Yesterday morning, AAP leader Satyendra Jain slipped and fell in the Tihar Jail washroom. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital in the morning. When his health deteriorated around 12 noon, he was shifted to Lok Narayan Jai Prakash Hospital and kept on oxygen support.

This was the third time in a week that Jain was brought to the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital. After that he developed a spinal problem.
