In a momentous visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced Dwarkadhish Mandir, a revered temple, with his presence. The highlight of his visit was the inauguration of a cable-stayed bridge, a marvel connecting Okha and Bet Dwarka, showcasing a blend of spirituality and infrastructural development. A public ceremony marked the unveiling of Sudarshan Setu, a cable bridge spanning an impressive 2.32 kilometers, making it the longest cable bridge in the country with an estimated cost of approximately 980 crores.

1. Sudarshan Setu Inauguration

Prime Minister Modi dedicated the Sudarshan Setu, a bridge aimed at connecting Okha and Bet Dwarka. This monumental cable-stayed bridge, dedicated to the nation, serves as a lifeline for pilgrims visiting the temples in Bet Dwarka, offering a seamless journey. The bridge is a testament to India’s engineering prowess, being the largest cable-stayed bridge in the country. Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Mundra-Panipat Pipeline project during this visit.

 Inauguration of 5 AIIMS

A significant part of PM Modi’s agenda includes inaugurating five AIIMS institutions across the nation. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Rajkot, Bathinda, Raebareli, Kalyani, and Mangalagiri for the inauguration ceremonies. The programs will witness the digital inauguration of four newly constructed AIIMS facilities in Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh).

 Rajkot AIIMS Unveiling

The Rajkot AIIMS inauguration stands out as Gujarat receives its first state-of-the-art AIIMS facility. The Rajkot AIIMS includes Tower A and B hospital blocks, with a capacity of 250 beds in the Internal Patient Department (IPD) services, a dining hall capable of accommodating 500 individuals, postgraduate boys and girls hostels, a 66 kV control grid substation, a shopping complex, and various outpatient department (OPD) services under 14 departments.
