Strengthening work has been started at Banthra station of Roza-Moradabad railway section by carrying mega block.

Moradabad, May 15 (Hindustan Times). North Railway Moradabad Railway Division Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Coaching Sudhir Kumar Singh said that the strengthening work by taking mega block at Banthara station in Roja-Moradabad railway section of the division and bridge number 1133 on down line in Moondhapande-Dalpatpur. A girder has been placed in the railway section of the division.

Senior DCM said that under the direction of Divisional Railway Manager Ajay Nandan, continuous development works are being done in Moradabad Division. Today, bridge strengthening work was completed by non interlocking at Banthara station in the division and by mega block at bridge number 1133 on down line in Mundapande-Dalpatpur railway section. At the division’s Banthra station, smoothening of rail traffic was carried out by taking mega blocks on Sunday and Monday. In the work done in Mega Block, connectivity with KRIBHCO Fertilizer Siding at Banthara Station has been done. With this connection, loading of fertilizers can be done directly at the plant. A new line has been laid in the station yard and 2 bridges have been extended. A new EI electronic interlocking has been installed at the station. This is the revised and upgraded version for easier train management.

The Sr. DCM further informed that yard improvement along with layout improvement has been done at Rosa station, which has increased the speed of reception of goods trains in the yard. The information about the affected trains in the division due to this mega block was circulated through a press release on 9th May, so that passengers could be spared inconvenience by informing them in advance. Today, a total mega block of 13 hours was taken from the headquarters at Bridge No. 1133 on the down line on the Moondhapande-Dridalpatpur railway section of the division from 6.30 am to 7.30 pm. In this mega block, blasted track was made by removing three girders of the bridge and replacement of damaged bed blocks was carried out at four places of the bridge. Trains on Bridge No. 1133 were running with restricted speed limit for last three years. Vehicles will be driven at full speed after the completion of the strengthening work of this bridge today. Due to which the travel time will be saved and the journey of the passengers will be easier. Today TRD department and bridge department cooperated with engineering department to carry out this work.
