Stock market continues to boom, IT and Adani shares took the lead

New Delhi : Due to vigorous buying in the shares of IT sector and Adani Group companies, the domestic stock market was successful in closing on a strong note on the first day of the week itself. Today’s trading started with weakness, but vigorous buying in the market supported the stock market and took it to the green mark. Sensex closed 0.38 percent and Nifty 0.61 percent after day’s buying and selling.

In today’s trade, IT, Services, Tech, Pharmaceutical, Commodity and Utility sectors remained the most buying trend. There was selling pressure in telecom and banking sector stocks. During the day’s buying and selling, there was continuous buying in medium and small stocks. BSE’s midcap index jumped 0.73 percent due to this support of buying. Similarly, the Smallcap index closed with a gain of 0.41 percent.

Today, due to the boom in the market, the wealth of the stock market investors increased by more than Rs 2.20 lakh crore. The market capitalization of listed companies on BSE rose to Rs 278.79 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trade. Their market capitalization was Rs 276.59 lakh crore on the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday. In this way, investors got benefit of about Rs 2.20 lakh crore from today’s business.

Today, there was active trading in 3,788 scrips on BSE during the day’s trade. Of these, 1,771 scrips closed with gains, while 1,845 scrips declined, while 172 scrips closed without any movement. Active trading took place in 2,082 scrips on NSE today. Of these, 1,038 shares closed in the green mark by earning profit and 1,044 shares closed in the red mark by taking losses. Similarly, out of 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 19 closed with gains and 11 closed with losses. Out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 34 stocks closed in green mark and 16 stocks closed in red mark.

The BSE Sensex today opened at a level of 61,579.78 points with a weakness of 149.90 points. As soon as the trading started, the buyers took the lead, due to which the index recovered and started trading in the green mark within a short time. Buyers dominated most of the day’s trading. However, there were occasional bouts of selling. Despite this, the Sensex ended today’s trading at a level of 61,963.68 points with a gain of 234 points.

NSE’s Nifty also started trading today with a slight weakness of 2.30 points at 18,201.10 points. This index also got the support of the ongoing buying in the market. Despite intermittent selling shocks during the day’s trading, the Nifty closed at 18,314.40 points with a gain of 111 points.
