The domestic market started on a strong note taking support from the global markets and this trend continued throughout the day. Investor wealth rose from Rs 280.46 lakh crore to Rs 282.61 lakh crore on Thursday, compared to Thursday’s rally in the Sensex. The wealth of investors has increased by more than two lakh crores. Buying by investors saw a rise in shares across all sectors. FMCG and IT sectors remained the stars. Sensex again managed to cross 62 thousand.
Why the boom today?
The stock market gained momentum today due to buying by investors. At the end of trading, the Sensex gained 629.07 points to close at 62501.69 points and the Nifty gained 178.2 points to close at 18499.2 points. On Thursday, the Sensex gained 98.84 points and the Nifty closed at 18321.15 points, up 35.75 points. On Wednesday, the Sensex closed down 208.01 points and the Nifty closed down 62.6 points. The Sensex had climbed 18.11 points on Tuesday. The Indian stock market index Sensex rose 234 points and Nifty 100.55 points on the first trading day of the week. This week, the stock market has closed with gains for four days.

Nifty FMCG gained 731 points or 1.47 per cent in today’s trade. Nifty IT also closed up 1.48 per cent or 427 points. Bank Nifty gained 0.77 per cent. Apart from this, buying was also seen in shares of auto, pharma, metal, energy, real estate sector. Midcap and smallcap stocks also closed strongly.

In today’s trading session, investors’ wealth has increased tremendously due to the rally in the market. Market cap of companies listed on BSE increased to Rs. 282.61 lakh crore, which was Rs. 280.46 cr. That is, the investor’s wealth in today’s business is Rs.100. An increase of Rs 2.15 lakh crore has been observed.
