Stock Market Closing, 24 th May, 2023: The third trading day of the week was disappointing for the Indian stock market. The stock market closed with losses today due to selling by investors. Investors’ wealth decreased by Rs 279.54 lakh crore. Which was 279.78 lakh crore yesterday.

Today the Sensex closed down by 208.01 points at 61773.78 points and the Nifty closed down by 62.6 points at 18285.40 points. The Sensex had climbed 18.11 points on Tuesday. The Indian stock market index Sensex rose 234 points and Nifty 100.55 points on the first trading day of the week.

On the other hand, Tata Motors closed down by 1.49 per cent, HDFC Bank by 1.33 per cent, HDFC by 1.23 per cent, Bajaj Finserv by 0.73 per cent.

This morning the Sensex was down 238.71 points or 0.39% at 61,743.08 and the Nifty was down 69.70 points or 0.38% at 18,278.30. On the Nifty, Adani Enterprises, Power Grid Corp, Britannia Industries, Sun Pharma and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top gainers, while Adani Ports, Hindalco Industries, Grasim Industries, Wipro and M&M were the top losers.
