The country is celebrating Amrit Mohotsav on completion of 75 years of independence. An interfaith prayer was organized at the Parliament complex this morning. I congratulate all the countrymen for this golden moment of Indian democracy. It is not just a building, it is a reflection of the aspirations and dreams of 140 crore Indians. This is the temple of our democracy which conveys the message of India’s resolve to the world.

New records are made only by treading new paths

PM said in his address that new records are made only by walking on new paths. New India is setting new goals. There is a new enthusiasm, a new enthusiasm, a new journey. New thinking, new direction, new thinking. The resolution is new, the faith is new.

Sengol symbolized the path of duty in the Chola Empire.

PM Modi said that in the Chola empire, this sengol was considered as a symbol of the path of duty, the path of service, the path of the nation. Under Rajaji’s guidance, Sengol became a symbol of the transfer of power. The seer of Adhinam, who came all the way from Tamil Nadu, was present in Parliament this morning to bless us. This holy Sangol has been established under his guidance.

Our constitution is our resolution

PM said that our constitution is our resolve. The luck of the one who stops also stops. He who moves, his fortune also moves. So carry on After slavery, our India started its new journey after losing a lot. The journey went through many ups and downs, overcame many challenges and ushered in the golden age of independence.

Every Indian is proud to see the new Parliament building

The new Parliament House has become a living symbol of this endeavour. Today every Indian is filled with pride when he sees the new Parliament building. The building has heritage, architecture, art and craftsmanship. It has the voice of culture as well as constitution. You see the interior of the Lok Sabha is based on the national bird the peacock. The Rajya Sabha section is based on the national flower lotus and the Parliament complex also has the national tree banyan. This new building includes diversity from different parts of our country.

Democracy is our ‘culture’, thought and tradition

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is not only the largest democratic country but also the mother of democracy. It is also the foundation of global democracy. Democracy is our ‘culture’, thought and tradition.

PM Modi presented the report card of 9 years

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi also presented the report card of his nine-year government. He said that if any expert evaluates the last nine years, he will know that these were nine years of transformation in India. It was for the welfare of the poor. Today we are proud of the construction of the new Parliament House. Today when we look at this magnificent building, I am also satisfied with the 11 crore toilets built in the last nine years, which have protected the dignity and upliftment of women. Today, if we talk about facilities, more than four lakh kilometers of roads have been built in the last nine years to connect villages. Today we are happy to see the eco friendly building, we have built more than 50 thousand nectar lakes to save every drop of water. Today, while we are celebrating that we have built a new Parliament building, we have also built more than 30,000 new panchayat buildings in the country. That means from Panchayat Bhavan to Parliament Bhavan our loyalty is same. Our motivation is the same. Development of the country, development of the people of the country.
