He said that if Siddaramaiah has already been made the CM, then why should others not get a chance. Sivakumar told Khadge that Siddaramaiah was also the reason for the breakup of the alliance in 2019. He clearly said that the time has come for me to become the Chief Minister and the high command should give me a chance. I revived the party after 2019. If the party gives me the post of chief minister, I will take charge as the state president, otherwise I will continue as an MLA.

Siddaramaiah’s political journey

Siddaramaiah is one of the tallest Congress leaders in Karnataka. From the beginning, he was considered a stronger contender than DK Shivakumar for the post of CM. Siddaramaiah contested 12 elections in his political career out of which he won 9. Siddaramaiah has been CM. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka in the Janata Dal government in 1994. His administrative grasp is considered. There is no corruption case against him. While many cases are going on against DK Shivakumar. He has also gone to jail.

Siddaramaiah hails from the Kuruba community

Both Siddaramaiah and DK are considered close to the Gandhi family. Mallikarjun Kharge is believed to have played a key role in bringing Siddaramaiah from the JDS to the Congress in 2008. In this state they are said to be very close to Kharge. Siddaramaiah was the CM of Karnataka from 2013 to 2018. Meanwhile he tried to establish Tipu Sultan as a hero in Karnataka.
