Karnataka CM Swearing In Ceremony: The swearing-in ceremony of the new government has been held in Karnataka today. Siddaramaiah has taken oath as Chief Minister. At the same time, DK Shivakumar has taken oath as Deputy CM. Names of 8 ministers are also included among those who took oath in Karnataka today. G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy, BZ Zamir Ahmed Khan also became ministers. Opposition leaders gathered at the swearing-in ceremony of the new government. MK Stalin, Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray arrived at the function.

Ministers belong to which community?
Let us tell you that every class has been taken care of in the selection of ministers in Karnataka. Among the ministers, Muniyappa hails from the Dalit community. Jamir Ahmed Khan and KJ George belong to the minority community. Whereas, Jarkiholi belongs to Scheduled Tribe. Apart from this, Ramalinga belongs to the Reddy caste. Challenge to Siddaramaiah
It may be mentioned here that Siddaramaiah was formally elected as the leader in the Congress MLA meeting on Thursday. Siddaramaiah then claimed to form the government against the Governor. The first challenge facing Siddaramaiah was to form a cabinet with the right balance.

A big success in the elections
Congress has got a bumper victory in Karnataka elections. Congress won 135 seats in the assembly elections held on May 10. While BJP won 66 seats and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s Janata Dal (S) got 19 seats.
