But if the stock exchange issues a circular and declares a market holiday on October 31 as well, then the stock market may remain closed for 4 consecutive days.
When is Muhurat Trading?
This time Muhurat trading in the stock market will be held on Friday, November 1. This will be a special ‘Muhurat trading’ session of 1 hour. This will mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2081. The stock markets said in separate circulars that the symbolic trading session will be held between 6 pm and 7 pm. This session also marks the beginning of the new Samvat (Hindu calendar year starting from Diwali). It is believed that trading during ‘Muhurat’ or ‘auspicious hour’ brings prosperity and financial growth to stakeholders.
Muhurat Trading Timings
Diwali is an official holiday on November 1 in the stock exchanges. The markets will remain closed on this day. But a special trading window will be open for one hour in the evening. The stock markets have announced that the pre-opening session will be from 5:45 pm to 6:00 pm. At the same time, a special trading session will be held from 6 to 7 pm. Market analysts said that Diwali is considered an ideal time to start anything new. It is believed that investors get profit from trading during this session throughout the year.
