Severe turbulence: Several passengers on board a Delhi-Sydney Air India flight experienced severe air turbulence during the flight on Tuesday. Many passengers were injured. After reaching Sydney airport, doctors treated him. However, none of the passengers required hospitalisation.
According to an ANI report, several passengers on board a Delhi-Sydney Air India flight suffered injuries due to severe turbulence on Tuesday. Injured passengers were given medical treatment on arrival at Sydney Airport. None of the passengers were hospitalized.
According to DGCA sources, seven passengers suffered minor sprains after the accident. Air India’s cabin crew provided first aid to the injured passengers with the help of an on-board doctor and nurse.
In one such incident, 12 passengers were injured when a Mumbai-Durgapur SpiceJet flight suffered severe turbulence during landing in May last year. One of the passengers injured during the server unrest died several months later. Akbar Ansari, 48, was on ventilator support for a month before succumbing to his injuries in September 2022.
A private jet serving New England in the US suffered turbulence, killing one passenger in March this year and forcing the plane to divert to another airport in Connecticut.
