Satyendra Jain’s health deteriorated, shifted from DDU to LNJP hospital

Former Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has been shifted from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital to LNJP. He is kept on oxygen support as his health deteriorates. Satyendra Jain fainted in Tihar Jail bathroom. Earlier too, Satyendra Jain had fallen in the bathroom and suffered a serious spinal injury. This is the second time in the last one week that Satyendra Jain has had to be admitted to the hospital. Satyendra Jain also has to undergo spinal surgery. He wears a waist brace because of his spinal problem.

Even before this, he was shifted to the hospital due to health deterioration.
Earlier on May 22, Satyendra Jain’s health deteriorated and he was brought to Safdarjung Hospital. It is being said that Satyendra Jain’s weight has dropped by around 35 kg. Satyendra Jain, lodged in Tihar Jail, complained some time back that he was feeling depressed and lonely. Tihar then told the jail administration that he would seek the help of a psychologist and undergo treatment if needed. Jain approached a psychologist inside the jail clinic, who advised him to be around people and interact socially, jail authorities said. A senior Tihar Jail official said, “If an inmate is suffering from depression, he should be given proper attention. So if Jain is suffering from depression, we will try to understand and analyze his current state of mind.” will seek help from others.

Jail for money laundering
Satyendra Jain, who has been in jail for almost a year in the Jain money laundering case, has been admitted to the hospital for the second time in the last one week. According to the Aam Aadmi Party, Jain had also suffered a spinal cord injury in the past. He has been brought to Safdarjung Hospital in capital Delhi. Recently, he filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court citing his health. Jain stated in this affidavit that he had lost 30 kg during his stay in jail.

BAIL APPLICATION IN HIGH COURT
During the hearing of Satyendra Jain’s bail plea in the Supreme Court on May 18, his lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi also raised the issue of Jain’s health. He told the court that Jain was not well and looked like a skeleton. Based on which he sought bail. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had rejected Jain’s bail plea. The court said that he is an influential person and can influence witnesses and evidence.

The High Court refused to grant bail
Refusing to grant bail, the High Court said, ‘The present court cannot go into the legality of this proceeding. The facts show that information regarding certain disproportionate assets was concealed. The court will have to look at the matter prima facie. Wider possibilities suggest that the companies connected with Satyendra Jain are being controlled and managed by him.

Jain knew it all:
The ED told the Delhi High Court during a hearing held over the past few days that the statements of the accused showed that Jain had all the information about the fund transfer. The ED told the court that in 2015 and 2016, Satyendra Jain entered shell companies worth Rs 1.5 crore. The ED also took on record the statement of Javendra Mishra, the accused in the case, and said that the wrongdoing in the case was that money was to be sent to hawala operators (shell companies based in Kolkata). The whole matter is money laundering.
