Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan’s Rs 5 lakh diamond earrings were stolen from her residence in Khar on Tuesday. After this incident, the police arrested Sandeep Hegde (30), a domestic servant working at Arpita’s house. Hegde lives in a slum in Ambewadi area of ​​Vileparle. He was working in Arpita’s house for the last four months.

According to information received from sources in this regard, Arpita Khan’s diamond earrings, which she kept in a makeup tray, disappeared from her residence in Khar on Tuesday. After this incident, a complaint was registered in Khar police station and the police have registered a case and started investigation. Senior officer Mohan Mane of Khar police station formed a team of officers. The team started efforts to nab the accused. A total of 11 people work in Arpita’s house, of which Hegde left without telling anyone after this incident.

After this incident, the police successfully nabbed Hegde and seized the stolen diamond earrings from his house. The police arrested the accused Hegde under Section 381 (theft by domestic servant) of the IPC and he was produced before the court and the court remanded him to police custody.
