Russia-Pakistan: So has friend Russia started reading Kamad? simple new juggling

[ad_1]

Russia’s first direct cargo ship reached Pakistan: Western sanctions have crippled the Russian economy following the invasion of Ukraine. This is the reason why Russia is now rapidly increasing its trade with Asian countries. In this development, a Russian container ship, Crystal St Petersburg, has arrived at Pakistan’s Karachi port for the first time in just 21 days. This is believed to be the beginning of a direct shipping link between Pakistan and Russia. The vessel was loaded with 2000 transshipment containers. Through this, efforts are being made to take Russian goods to the Pakistani market and Pakistani goods to the Russian market. The payment for this trade will be in the Chinese currency yuan and not in dollars or Pakistani rupees.

Russia’s growing friendship with Pakistan is being considered as a major threat to India. A few days ago there was a bilateral agreement between Russia and Pakistan to increase trade.

Pakistan wants to increase trade with Russia

Currently India and China are the biggest buyers of energy from Russia. These two countries alone buy two-thirds of Russia’s coal exports to Asia. Meanwhile, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Sri Lanka have also become buyers of Russian oil, gas and coal. In such a situation, Pakistan also wants to take advantage of this opportunity. For this reason, Pakistani rulers are rapidly improving their bilateral trade relations with Russia. Many senior ministers and officials of Pakistan are going on a tour of Russia. Pakistan’s eagerness to boost trade was evident during the ceremonial reception of the Russian ship that arrived in Karachi on May 25.

Pakistani ministers welcomed the Russian ship

The Russian cargo ship arrived in Karachi during a ceremony attended by Pakistan’s Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir, Maritime Affairs Minister Faisal Sabzwari and Russian Consul General Andrey Viktorovich Fedorov in Karachi. Pakistani ministers termed the arrival of the Russian ship Crystal St. Petersburg as a historic event. He said that the opening of direct shipping link between Russia and Pakistan is a new chapter in bilateral relations. At the inauguration ceremony, Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir said that bilateral economic relations will be further strengthened with the start of direct shipping service between the two countries. He said that since Russia’s economy is five times bigger than Pakistan’s in terms of GDP, Pakistan wants a comprehensive free trade agreement with Russia.

Is Russia Cheating India?

There are neither permanent friends nor permanent enemies in global diplomacy. Russia is in dire need of money at this time. He cannot do business with rich western countries even if he wants to. In such a situation, Russia is especially paying attention to those Asian countries with which its relations are not so good. Because of India, Russia never paid much attention to Pakistan. But now the troubled Russia wants to do business with poor Pakistan. Pakistan also wants to buy cheap crude oil and wheat from Russia to feed its hungry people. This is the reason why it is their compulsion to do business between Pakistan and Russia. While India’s relations with Russia are many times stronger than Pakistan’s. The increase in trade with Pakistan on such a small scale will not affect the relations between India and Russia.
