Rowing and water sports debuted at the Khelo India University Games

Gorakhpur: Gorakhpur Khelo is also organizing rowing competition at the India University Games. More than 250 university players from many states of the country have started showcasing their talent in Ramgarhtal. From seven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, young boat riders have started flexing their water sports skills on the beat with their paddles. Sports lovers from East Uttar Pradesh including Gorakhpur will be able to enjoy this exciting spectacle till May 31.

Single sculls, double sculls, coxless pair, coxless quadruple, lightweight single, double and quadruple competition in men’s and women’s categories began on Saturday morning in the hit event of 2000m distance. On Sunday 28th May, players who were denied entry to the next round in the HIT event will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in the repechage event. The 2000m final will be held on Monday, May 29. Individual categories for 500 meters will start from May 30.
