Rohini court adjourns sentence for rape and murder of minor

New Delhi, May 20 (Hindustan Times). Delhi’s Rohini court has adjourned the sentencing of a man convicted of abducting, raping and murdering minor children. Special Judge Sunil Kumar ordered the verdict on convict Ravindra’s sentence to be pronounced on May 25.

On May 6, the court convicted Ravindra of kidnapping, raping and murdering a six-year-old minor girl. He is accused of raping and then killing 30 children between 2008 and 2015. Ravindra preyed on girls aged six to twelve. Delhi Police arrested Ravindra in 2015 from outside Delhi. An FIR was filed against him in Begampur police station.

Ravindra is a resident of Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. He came in 2008 at the age of 18 looking for a job. After coming to Delhi, he got addicted to drugs and watching porn videos. During the investigation, the police came to know that after taking drugs, he used to hunt minor girls. He would go to work during the day and go to his slum to sleep at night. After taking drugs, he used to go outside his slum in search of girls. Sometimes he would go up to 40 kilometers to hunt girls. Usually used to visit construction sites and slum areas. Ravindra used to lure girls by showing them chocolates or ten rupee notes and carried out this incident by taking them to a private residence.
