Kiren Rijiju took charge of the Earth Sciences Ministry on Friday, a day after getting the Law Ministry. Meanwhile, he said that the cabinet is being reshuffled. Kiren Rijiju, MP from Arunachal West Lok Sabha seat, was made the Law Minister during the cabinet expansion in 2021.
The Law Ministry was taken back from him on Thursday. Now he has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Earth Sciences. While Arjun Ram Meghwal has been made the Law Minister in his place. Apart from this, SP Singh Baghel’s department has also been changed. He will now be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare instead of the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Opposition’s job is to speak – Rijiju
Kiren Rijiju took charge of his ministry on Friday. Meanwhile, he said, I congratulate the PM for giving me a chance. I am grateful for that. Meanwhile, when asked why the Law Ministry was withdrawn from him. On that he said, I will not talk about politics today. But I didn’t do anything wrong. Changes keep happening. Speaking against me is the job of the opposition. Let them speak, this is all a regular process.

I would like to thank CJI DY Chandrachud, all Supreme Court Judges, Chief Justices of High Courts and all law officers for their immense support in providing legal services to our citizens. I am eager to realize PM Modi’s vision. As a BJP worker, I will take charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences with the zeal with which I have worked.
