Kesar Kulfi is liked by many people. Eating Kesar Kulfi in summer is a pleasure of its own. Today we have brought you the recipe to make it at home.
Component:
1 liter full fat milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp saffron threads
1 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios)
Ice cream molds or small disposable cups
Instruction:
- Heat milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and let it boil.
- Lower the flame and boil the milk while stirring occasionally till the milk reduces to half.
- Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron to the milk and mix well.
- Simmer the mixture on low heat for 5-10 minutes till it becomes thick and creamy.
- Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
- Add chopped nuts to the mixture and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into kulfi molds or small disposable cups.
- Cover each mold or cup with aluminum foil and insert an ice cream stick in the center.
- Refrigerate the kulfi for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- To serve, take out the Kulfi from the molds or bowl and serve garnished with chopped nuts.
