Among other leaders of opposition parties, names like Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee are far behind Rahul in the opinion polls. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was chosen as the challenger with only 11 percent.

Among the leaders who have the potential to challenge Prime Minister Modi at the national level, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee got only 4 percent of the votes. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also become the favorite of 5 percent people.

It may be noted that Lokniti-CSDS survey was conducted between May 10 and May 19. Opinions were taken from 7,202 people spread across 19 states and 71 constituencies in India.
