There is a great upheaval going on in Indian politics. Once addressed as Pappu by BJP leaders, Rahul Gandhi has now thrown the BJP out of the South. Recently, a survey by NDTV revealed that Rahul Gandhi’s popularity is increasing rapidly.
On one hand, Rahul Gandhi’s popularity is increasing, on the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is still at the top. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s rating has increased by 15 percent and this increase has come after the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
This survey by NDTV and LokNiti-Center for the Study of Developing Societies has revealed many shocking things.
A survey conducted in 19 states between May 10 and 19 claimed that nearly 43 percent said the BJP-led NDA alliance should be given a third consecutive term. At the same time, 38 percent disagreed with it.
43 percent people said that Narendra Modi would be their first choice for the post of Prime Minister if elections were held today. While 27 percent people are choosing Rahul Gandhi.
Even after the defeat in the Karnataka assembly elections, the popularity of Narendra Modi is being seen. Here BJP’s vote share has increased from 37 percent in 2019 to 39 percent in 2023. However, Congress’ vote share has also increased from 19 percent in 2019 to 29 percent in 2023.
Among other popular leaders for PM, Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal are both preferred by 4 percent. After which Akhilesh Yadav got 3 percent, Nitish Kumar one percent and others got 18 percent.
About Rahul Gandhi, 26 percent of respondents said they always liked him, while 15 percent expressed their admiration for him after his visit to India Jodo. And 16 percent admitted that they do not like Rahul Gandhi. 27 percent have no opinion about them.
