BJP leader Subramanian Swamy opposed the issuance of NOC to Rahul Gandhi in the passport case and said that Rahul Gandhi was on bail in the National Herald case and given the sensitivity of the case, he was given an NOC to get a passport which should not have been issued. .

Apart from this, Swamy told the court that in 2019 Rahul Gandhi was asked by the ministry whether Rahul Gandhi has a British passport. But he did not give any correct answer on this. According to Swamy, according to Indian law, a citizen cannot get Indian citizenship if he has citizenship of another country.
